Teacher/Strong Yogi

I started my yoga practice in college back in 2009 when I decided to take a 1-credit yoga class and see what all the hype was about. Since that day I knew I wanted to become a yoga teacher. From a young age I struggled with depression, anger, and a mix of other emotional problems. Yoga has been my solace and safe space in my times of need and helped me relieve stress and be more bright and positive. Each class gives me a time and place to just let go of the world and be more present in my daily life.

Modo came into my life in 2015 and I instantly fell in love. Modo’s values and sense of community made me feel welcomed and accepted right from the start, and I see this with every person that walks through the door.

I began my journey as a yoga teacher in February of 2017 at the Modo Training in Nicaragua. The training made me fall even more in love with Modo and with yoga as a whole. I want to continue this journey and hopefully inspire others to step on the mat, let go, and find themselves through their practice.
